Slogan Generator

Tagline ideas built from real slogan structures.

What are you selling?

A word or short phrase — coffee, insurance, running shoes.

Ideas

Press Generate slogans to start. A keyword helps, but is not required.

Generate slogan and tagline ideas from a keyword. These are built from the sentence shapes real taglines actually use — a claim and a qualifier, a contrast, a promise — rather than words pushed together at random. Treat the output as a starting point: the best taglines come from editing a rough one, not from finding a finished one.

Why use this tool?

Real slogan structures

Nine sentence patterns drawn from how taglines are actually built — claim and qualifier, contrast, promise — rather than random word pairs.

Volume for editing

A tagline is almost never found whole. Generating a dozen gives you phrases to cut down, which is how the good ones get made.

Built around your keyword

Every line is constructed around what you actually sell, so the list is judgeable rather than generic.

Private to your device

Generated in your browser. Nothing about an unlaunched campaign is transmitted.

How this slogan generator works

Each slogan is a template filled with your keyword and a word drawn from small curated pools of qualities and verbs. The templates are the important part: 'Less fuss. More coffee.' works because of the contrast structure, not because of the words. Random word pairs do not produce that, which is why most slogan generators read like nonsense.

The patterns cover the shapes taglines usually take — a statement followed by a qualifier, a contrast between what you remove and what you add, a possessive promise, and a claim of consistency. Between them they cover most of what a short tagline can structurally do.

None of them will be finished. That is not a limitation of the tool so much as a fact about taglines: they are almost always the result of editing something rougher. What a generator gives you is a dozen structures to react to, which is the part that is hard to do from nothing.

How to use it

  1. Step 1: Enter what you sell

A product, service or field. Short keywords work best in a short sentence.

  2. Step 2: Generate a dozen

Scan for a structure that fits, not for a finished line.

  3. Step 3: Edit the keeper

Cut it shorter, swap a word, say it aloud. Almost every good tagline has been through that.

Example usage

A new product launch
A dozen lines to find the structure, then hours editing the one that fits.
Naming a campaign
Contrast patterns like 'Less fuss. More coffee.' which work well as a campaign spine.
Filling a mockup
Placeholder taglines that are plausible enough to judge a layout with.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a good slogan?

Short, specific and true. The best ones make a claim the competition cannot copy — which usually means saying something concrete about what you actually do rather than something generic about quality or passion.

Can I use a generated slogan commercially?

Yes. Short phrases assembled from common words are generally not copyrightable. If you plan to trademark one, search first — taglines can be registered, and a conflict is worth finding before you print anything.

Why do the results need editing?

Because taglines are the product of compression. Even professionally written ones start longer and get cut. The generator gives you a structure and a rough fill; the work is in the trimming.

How long should a tagline be?

Shorter than you think. Under seven words as a rule, and under five is better. If it does not fit under a logo, it is not a tagline.

Should my slogan explain what I do?

If nobody has heard of you, yes — the tagline is doing the explaining that a known brand does not need. As you get better known it can afford to be more abstract.
